Engineer II or Engineer III to join our land development and transportation groups in our San Pedro, CA office. Engineer II/III performs journey level civil engineering work requiring a broader knowledge of skills. Individuals usually work independently, receiving instructions in general terms, and may be a lead designer for one or more major engineering projects having a wide impact and significant cost. Employees may serve as a lead over a small group of lower level employees, but the main quality of an Engineer II/III is their ability to develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates with minimal supervision.
Requirements and Responsibilities For Engineer II
Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
